Valentina is a Chilean human rights lawyer with an advanced master's degree in European and International Human Rights Law. She has substantial experience in litigation, research, and project coordination, focusing on international human rights, minority rights, and digital technologies. Currently, she serves as a Project Coordinator for the Chilean government in collaboration with the UNHCR. Valentina also engages in research projects that explore the intersection of human rights and digital technologies.
Brian O’Neill
Professor Brian O’Neill is a media and communications researcher from Ireland with expertise in digital policy and online safety. He contributes to the European Commission’s Better Internet for Kids programme, the Council of Europe’s Digital Citizenship Education project and OECD benchmarking studies on industry transparency reporting on CSEA. He has been a member of the EU Kids Online network for over 15 years and contributes to its research on children’s experiences of risks and safety online.
Gloria Olembo
Gloria is a Kenyan Lawyer and Legal Consultant, with extensive experience in data protection, compliance and development initiatives. She has a Master’s in Technology Law from Queen Mary University of London and is a Certified Information Privacy Expert. She is also a Lawyers Hub Africa Tech Policy fellow. Gloria is passionate about technology and human rights, currently consulting with Tech Legality on data governance for children projects. Gloria is currently based in London.
Refka Guizani
Refka Guizani is a Tunisian translator and interpreter. She has a master's degree in Translation and Interpreting, as well as a master's degree in English Language, Literature, and Civilization, with her research focused on Applied Linguistics and Discourse Analysis. Refka is endowed with an unquenchable love for languages and humanities. She is specialized in legal, business, diplomatic and ecological interpreting and translation, with an extensive knowledge in the field of child protection.
Patrick Burton
Patrick Burton is an independent research consultant and outgoing Executive Director of the Centre for Justice and Crime Prevention (CJCP) in South Africa. He has over 25 years’ experience conducting research on all forms of violence against children and has been working in the area of online safety and child rights online, for the past 15 years. He has undertaken primary research and data collection on different aspects of child online safety and child rights in more than 25 countries.
Louise Hooper
Louise Hooper is a human rights and public law barrister at Garden Court Chambers. She is author of 'Human Rights and AI' in 'The Law of Artificial Intelligence Hervey and Lavy, 2nd Ed, 2024. She is an expert to the Council of Europe drafting Committee on Artificial Intelligence, Equality and Discrimination. She has extensive experience in advisory, research and policy work across a broad client spectrum. Louise is based in Portugal.
Elisabet Tambunan
Elisabet Tambunan is an Indonesian legal consultant specializing in technology and law, particularly in empowering children in the digital age. She holds an LL.M. from the University of Edinburgh and has worked with law firms, NGOs, and the Indonesian government on various consultation projects. A member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI), Elisabet is dedicated to using her legal expertise to support vulnerable communities through advocacy and digital literacy initiatives.
Véronique Lerch
Véronique Lerch is a seasoned international human rights consultant, with a specialized focus on child rights. In addition to her consulting work, she lectures on human rights, child rights, and advocacy at various universities. Véronique holds a European Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation, as well as a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She lives in Lisbon, Portugal.
Rawan Ibrahim
Dr. Rawan W. Ibrahim is a child welfare specialist with expertise in research, policy, and systems development in the MENA region. She led UNICEF-funded care reform initiatives, including deinstitutionalization and integrating social protection systems with child welfare services. Rawan also focuses on building social service workforce capacities. She collaborates with organizations such as Maestral, Global Social Service Workforce Alliance, Child Frontiers, and Tech Legality, particularly in Arab and developing-economy contexts. Rawan is based in Amman.
Ayoub Farès Ghalloussi
Ayoub Farès Ghalloussi is a Tunisian lawyer, legal consultant, and trainer specializing in corporate law, human rights, anti-corruption, and digital law. He has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors and has worked with various NGOs and intergovernmental organizations. Ayoub has also been involved in industries such as E-learning, social networks, and entertainment. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, he is based in Tunis.
Samira Hajjar
Samira is a Licensed Master of Social Work and a certified play therapist with over a decade of experience in psychotherapy. Her professional background spans residential, outpatient, educational, and clinical settings. She specializes in addressing complex trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, and LGBTQIA+ concerns through trauma-focused, client-centered, and attachment-based therapies. As a technical consultant, she is passionate about implementing evidence-based practices in child protection and mental health across the MENA region.
